Message from Executive Director Buddy Rizer:
Loudoun Economic Development doesn't just support small businesses, we champion them, invest in them, and celebrate them every step of the way. During Small Business Week, we’re turning up the volume to make one thing clear: Small business is a BIG deal in Loudoun.
Small businesses in Loudoun employ over 163,000 people, so it is evident that small businesses succeed in driving innovation, creating jobs, and building community. Small businesses are a backbone of Loudoun's economy; that’s why during Small Business Week, our Board of Supervisors is joining us as we hit the pavement to visit local businesses across the county to listen, learn, and reaffirm the commitment to the entrepreneurs who keep Loudoun thriving.
This isn’t just talk. We’re putting resources into action. The Small Business Summit is bigger and bolder, delivering tools and insights to help companies start, scale, and soar. This event has become so popular that we are at full capacity but still welcoming people to join the waitlist. We’re also proud to join our partners at The Building People, Town of Leesburg Economic Development, and The Depot to present GovConnect 2025, a must-attend event designed to bridge the gap between government procurement and small business opportunity; details about this event are listed below. And through the Loudoun Resilience Initiative, we continue to offer targeted support that keeps businesses, jobseekers, and entrepreneurs agile, adaptive, and ahead of the curve.
We are doing more than simply standing with small businesses, we’re moving with them, fighting for them, and making sure they get the #LoudounPossible visibility and support they need and deserve, because in Loudoun, small business isn’t just part of the economy, it is the economy.
Happy Small Business Week,
Buddy
