Message from Executive Director Buddy Rizer:
September is Workforce Development Month, a time to highlight the importance of equipping workers with the skills and training needed to thrive in today’s competitive job market. Loudoun County’s focus on workforce development is particularly significant as the county is home to one of the most educated workforces in the nation. With a strong emphasis on education and continuous learning, Loudoun has built a talent pool that is both highly skilled and adaptable to the evolving needs of various industries. With that type of talent, it's no wonder 41 Loudoun-based companies were named to the prestigious Inc. 5000 list!
A significant way that Loudoun Economic Development supports the county’s workforce is through the Work In Loudoun initiative, which provides a suite of customized professional services designed to connect the region’s talented workforce with open positions at businesses in Loudoun County. Our Workforce Development Manager Nancy Evanko, not only works with local businesses on the employment pipeline, she also manages partnerships with local educational institutions, government agencies, non-profits, and businesses, promoting events and programming designed to enhance skills, provide career training, and support professional growth.
The combination of a well-educated workforce and robust workforce development initiatives makes Loudoun County an attractive destination for businesses. Companies looking to expand or relocate find that the county’s skilled labor pool, coupled with ongoing support for professional growth, creates a fertile ground for success. As a result, Loudoun continues to draw businesses across various sectors, solidifying its reputation as a premier, #LoudounPossible business destination.
