Cyber Compass: Navigating Loudoun's Industry Events and News

Jess's Thoughts: Hi! I'm Jessica (Jess) Park, Business Development Manager for Cybersecurity at Loudoun Economic Development. Every month, we gather for Loudoun CyberTech, a cohort of the region's top cybersecurity professionals, where we learn from one another, network, and discuss cybersecurity topics and trends. Last month, we had the honor of holding Old Ox Brewery's final event before they closed their doors and in May, we will have a new partner, Honor Brewing Company in Sterling!

Next month, we'll hear from Renata C. Spinks-McNeal, Founder and CEO of the Tech startup, CyberSec International, who will discuss "Disruptive Cyber: How America's Readiness Enables the Mission to Fight and Win." The United States must maintain a strong cyber defense posture. The readiness to fight and win in cyberspace is crucial for national security and involves collaboration between government, military, and private sectors. By focusing on being proactive in identifying and mitigating cyber threats, enhancing resilience, and maintaining a competitive edge, we can ensure robust cybersecurity measures to protect national interests.
