The groundbreaking of Rivana at Innovation Station marks the dawn of a new era for Loudoun County. For years, we've worked to position this region as a global leader, but Rivana, a multi-phase, 103-acre, transit-oriented, mixed use development that straddles Loudoun and Fairfax counties, represents the physical realization of our next phase of economic opportunity that will attract headquarters to Class A trophy office space and destination retail for residents to enjoy. I've often told my team that for an economic developer, a project of this scale and significance is a once-in-a-career opportunity. It is the culmination of a long-term vision to create a true sense of place and a destination where the world's most innovative minds and live, work, and thrive in a fully integrated environment.

Getting here required a comprehensive plan and relentless public-private partnership. We had to roll up our sleeves and take a hard look at the barriers standing in our way. It wasn't always easy, and the path wasn't always clear, but we refused to let those challenges stop us. We leaned into them, asked the difficult questions, and stayed at the table until we found the solutions necessary to move forward. This project is the result of that collective grit and the refusal to settle for anything less than a transformative outcome for our community.

A critical piece of this evolution is the resurgence of Class A trophy office space. In a changing global economy, the flight to quality is real.
