Message from Executive Director Buddy Rizer:

Loudoun Economic Development is a steadfast ally for entrepreneurs and small businesses who are looking to create their own version of the American Dream in our community. Our unwavering commitment is rooted in a deep understanding of the challenges that entrepreneurs face on their journey toward success. We recognize that the entrepreneurial path is often paved with obstacles, and our mission is to be a guiding force, lighting the way and providing the necessary support at every step.

Understanding the unique challenges of the entrepreneurial landscape, we remain vigilant, seeking out innovative ways to assist and empower Loudoun's entrepreneurs. It is for this reason that we introduced Launch Loudoun in May 2023 and began offering a suite of resources specific to the small business community. As part of our commitment to continue building this program, we have introduced a new initiative -- free monthly Lunch and Learns -- to better help entrepreneurs navigate the nuances of small business ownership. These short, knowledge-packed sessions are designed with the busy business owner in mind and are a proactive commitment to staying ahead of the curve, anticipating needs, and crafting solutions that truly make a difference.

In essence, Loudoun Economic Development is more than an advocate for entrepreneurs; we are catalysts for success, architects of opportunity, and champions of growth. Securing over $10 billion in new investment in a single year is no small feat (see Annual Report FY23) and we remain dedicated to honing a robust and diverse ecosystem where businesses come to succeed because by fostering a culture of support, innovation, and collaboration, we aspire to create a legacy of small business and entrepreneurial success in Loudoun.
